These weekend getaways are diverse and fun-filled with majestic forts, wildlife places, architectural Havelis, Himalayas, and divine temples. From the quaint city life to the hill station, here are a few incredible weekend destinations from Delhi which are enough to make memorable and short trips to Delhi. RISHIKESH

Rishikesh is located in Uttrakhand which is 236 km away from Delhi. The road journey from Delhi to Rishikesh is just 6-7 hours via NH 334.

Rishikesh is an ancient city with several mythological and religious beliefs about Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. and it is said that Rishikesh was established by Adi Shankaracharya in 8th AD.

Rishikesh is a popular place among all age groups of people whether kids, adults, and old age as this is accentuated by the mighty Ganges cutting right through the city. Delhiites like us always crave weekend trips so that we could make a hideout from hustle and bustle of life.

Rishikesh has everything to offer you such as River rafting, cliff jumping, camping under the stars, mountain biking, bungee jumping, and also amazing picturesque and sightseeing spots. Rishikesh has more remarkable attractions to explore such as Ram jhula, Beatles Ashram, and Triveni Ghat. these places in Rishikesh will be enough to rejuvenate you.

JAIPUR

Jaipur is another weekend getaway near Delhi within 250 km from Delhi. This 3 days weekend getaway has major highlighted places to make your trip awesome such as Amber fort, the city palace, visiting Raigarh Fort, Choki Dhani village, visiting Hawa mahal, and other vibrant destinations. Jaipur is famous for its Market, fort,  food, and cultural heritage. These are the main attractions for tourists from all over the world.

If you visit Jaipur always try to reach early in the morning so that after having breakfast you can enjoy the full day of sightseeing which will start from Amber fort. This fort is known for its artistic style of Hindu elements and large ramparts, series of gates.

At noon, you can visit the city palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and Raigarh. Jaipur visit will cost only 5-6 k and at the cheapest expense, this place is enough to make it memorable.

MATHURA

Mathura is not so far from Delhi. A Mathura is a perfect place  for the people who seek a quick spiritual and scenic getaway. The Mathura is just 180 km far from Delhi and a three-hour drive will take you to the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Mathura has a lot to offer you in terms of spirituality. There is a Krishna Janamsthan complex which is a group of temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. 

Other main attractions in Mathura are Dwarkadheesh temple, Giriraj temple, Shri Krishna Balaram Temple, Iskcon temple and prem mandir. Mathura is popular for Holi and it remains flooded with devotees during the festival season including Janmashtmi, Guru Purnima, Goverdhan pooja, and Radha-Ashtami. Like Dip in the Holi water of Kusum Sarovar, getting to know the Mahabharata in Kans quila, you may indulge in photography in Kesi Ghat which offers an amazing view for photography. NAINITAL

A Nainital is a perfect weekend getaway to a reunion with this picture-perfect place which is a combination of lakes and hills. Nainital is situated in the Himalayan belt at a distance of 340 km from Delhi.  A Nainital serves as a paradise for nature lovers. Nainital is popular for the lake of three sages, glittering jewels in the Himalayan necklace. On the Nainital weekend trip, you will be amazed by the beautiful view of nature. There is a famous Naina Devi temple preserved as one of the fifty-one Shakti peethas. Naini Lake is another attraction in Nainital. This lake is popular for boating and it offers a breathtaking view of hills.the eco gardens are also there which is a set of six small caves containing various animals.
